Relay for Life Walk

Wow, so much has happened in the past month!  I'm learning to take the good with the bad and trying to see the silver lining in every cloud. 

After a year of fundraising and hard work, all of Amy's efforts paid off when they finally had the Relay for Life walk.  Her team took 3rd place with the most money raised!  I'm not sure what the final total was, but my understanding is that it was a little over $5,000!

I've been looking forward to this event.  I'd never been to one, but I knew I wanted to take my camera and I had so many ideas bouncing around in my head.  I'm fairly happy with some of these images that I captured.  Congradulations on all of your hard work, Amy!  I know that Dave would be proud of you for doing all of this in his honor!

Happy Daddy's Day!

I was so proud of myself for coming up with this gift!  Josh broke his wedding band a few months ago but we haven't been in a big hurry to find a replacement.  I some how managed to talk him into push it off as much as possible because I had this idea and was able to pull it off as a gift!  It's titanium and I'm very happy with it so far, it turned out better than I thought it would. The real test is how long it will hold up over time!

Baseball

A couple of my favorite images of a friend's son playing baseball.  I've found that I like sitting behind home plate to shoot but I have to constantly be aware of where the fence is in respect to my lens. 

Family Get Together

My cousin and her family came up from Virginia over Memorial Day weekend and we got to spend an eveing with them! Dani and Oia are two months apart in age and took very well to each other!

Oia thought it was great fun to chase me to try to get my camera strap!

Not sure why we ended up by the pool becausee it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do! The kids had fun splashing around, and Dani had a little too much fun keeping us in suspense!

To help raise money for Relay for Life, I am holding a special portrait session with all proceeds going to the Forsythe Family Team. Dave Forsythe lost his battle with cancer on February 6th.

For $12, you can book a 15 minute sessions on April 4th or April 5th. An 8x10 print of your choice is included with your session.

Temporary Set Back

I had a great time in Florida, despite the unusually cold weather!  You know it's pretty bad when Ohio has warmer weather than Florida in February... or maybe that is just my luck!  Anyways, I'm having issues downloading the images from the point and shoot camera that I took with me, so pictures will be posted at a later date.
